Terms and conditions of use

PT.EL Portugal Economics and Legal · Version 1.0 · 1 October 2026

These Terms govern access to and use of the website www.pt-on.com. By using the website, you accept them. If you do not agree with them, you should not use it.

1. Who we are

The website belongs to PT.EL Portugal Economics And Legal - Sociedade Multidisciplinar de Advogados e Economistas, SP, Lda., NIPC 518 828 190, with registered office at Rua dos Caminhos de Ferro, n.º 18, 1100-107 Lisboa, which may be contacted at go@pt-on.com or by telephone on +351 965 588 498 (call charged at the national mobile network rate).

The firm’s lawyers are registered with the Portuguese Bar Association (Ordem dos Advogados) and its economists with the Portuguese Association of Economists (Ordem dos Economistas). Each is subject to the statute of the respective professional body and to the rules of professional conduct deriving from it, which may be consulted on the websites of the two bodies.

2. Nature of the information published

The content of the website is general and for information purposes only. It does not constitute legal or economic advice, nor does it remove the need for each specific situation to be analysed by a professional. Legislation changes frequently and some content may not reflect the version in force at the time you read it.

The results produced by the calculators, simulators and guides are indicative only and depend on the data entered. References to previous work do not guarantee identical results in other matters.

3. When you become our client

Browsing the website, sending a message through the form or writing to us by e-mail does not create a client relationship or a mandate. That relationship exists only once we have verified that there are no conflicts of interest and have agreed with you, in writing, the scope of the work and the fees. Until then, we are under no obligation to act on your behalf or to monitor any time limits that may be running.

We treat everything you communicate to us with discretion, but we ask that you do not send documents or confidential information before such an agreement is in place. If necessary, we will indicate a secure means of doing so.

4. Forms and communications

Anyone completing a form must provide true and up-to-date information and may provide data relating to other persons only where they have a legal basis for doing so. We acknowledge receipt of messages by the following working day and respond within a maximum of three working days. Complaints receive a reasoned reply within a maximum of ten working days.

Subscription to communications, including registration of interest in the Lexea platform, is subject to your consent, which you may withdraw at any time.

5. Intellectual property

The texts, images, videos, graphics, the layout of the website, its code and the PT.EL trade mark and logo belong to the firm or are used with the authorisation of their respective owners. The logos of partner networks and organisations belong to those organisations.

You may view, print or save content for personal and non-commercial use, provided the source is acknowledged, and quote short extracts with a reference to PT.EL. Any other use, in particular reproduction, alteration, distribution or sale, requires written authorisation.

PT.EL expressly reserves the right to the extraction of text and data from the website, including for the training of artificial intelligence systems. This practice is not authorised without a written agreement.

6. Permitted use

The website must be used lawfully and in good faith. You may not:

  • attempt to access restricted areas, systems or data without authorisation;

  • introduce malicious software or carry out acts that overload, damage or interrupt the operation of the website;

  • collect content by automated or systematic means;

  • impersonate PT.EL or any of its professionals, or suggest a relationship with the firm that does not exist.

Anyone who detects a vulnerability should report it to seguranca@pt-on.com, without exploiting it. We will not take action against anyone who does so in good faith.

7. Availability and security

We endeavour to keep the website available and secure, but we may suspend access, in whole or in part, for maintenance, updates or security reasons. We monitor traffic in order to detect unauthorised access and report to the authorities any acts that may constitute a criminal offence.

8. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, PT.EL shall not be liable for damage resulting from decisions taken solely on the basis of the information published on the website, from interruptions or technical failures, from acts of third parties or from malicious software which, despite the measures adopted, reaches your equipment. This limitation does not apply to damage caused by wilful misconduct or gross negligence, nor does it exclude the rights conferred by law on consumers.

9. Links to other websites

The website contains links to third-party pages, such as LinkedIn, partner networks and organisations or public bodies. We do not control those websites and are not responsible for their content, availability or processing of data.

You may create links to the home page of our website, provided that they do not suggest a relationship with PT.EL that does not exist and do not present our content within another website as though it belonged to that website.

10. Personal data and cookies

The processing of personal data is governed by the Privacy Policy and the use of cookies by the Cookie Policy, both available in the website footer.

11. Lexea platform

The Lexea platform, once launched, will have its own terms of use, which will prevail over these Terms in all matters relating to the services provided through it.

12. Amendments and final provisions

We may amend these Terms where the law, the website or our business so warrants. The version in force is always published, together with its date. If any provision is held to be invalid, the remaining provisions shall continue in force.

13. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by Portuguese law. Disputes shall be settled by the courts having jurisdiction under the law, without prejudice to the rules on consumer protection.

In the event of a dispute, consumers may apply to the Portuguese Bar Association (Ordem dos Advogados) or to the Portuguese Association of Economists (Ordem dos Economistas), depending on the nature of the service, and have recourse to the ordinary means of dispute resolution, judicial or out-of-court, including the consumer alternative dispute resolution entities, a list of which is available on the Consumer Portal (Portal do Consumidor) (www.consumidor.gov.pt).

14. Contact

For any question about these Terms, please write to go@pt-on.com or to the registered office address.
