Innovation, for us, is neither a department nor a slogan. It is the way we organise everyday work: processes designed from scratch, shared documentation, templates that spare us from starting over, and technology chosen to give people time rather than to take it. Lexea, the platform we are building, springs from the same conviction: access to Law and Economics can be simpler, faster and cheaper without losing quality.
Artificial intelligence is part of this picture, under clear rules. We use it to research, organise information, prepare first drafts and check deadlines. We do not use it to decide in a professional’s place, nor do we enter confidential client information into tools that offer no guarantees of protection. Every piece of work that leaves the office has been read, thought through and signed by the person who answers for it.
Rigour is the other half. It demands study, preparation and a critical mind: understanding the context of each question, checking the assumptions, identifying risks and alternatives, and writing with precision. It is what makes innovation useful, and not merely new.

Three practices we keep:
- Four-eyes review of opinions, contracts and studies, with a lawyer and an economist whenever the question touches both fields.
- One named person in charge of each matter, with deadlines agreed and communicated, and regular updates to the client even when there is no news.
- Continuous training of the team, in Law, in Economics and in the tools we use, shared through the PT-EL Academy.
