Transparency
Before we begin, you know what we will do, how long it will take and how much it will cost.
Transparency is one of our values, and it applies first and foremost to fees. In every matter, we explain in writing, before starting work:
- the scope of the service and what falls outside it;
- the fee model: fixed fee, retainer, fee per stage or, where the nature of the matter requires it, hourly rate;
- the foreseeable expenses and charges, such as court fees, costs and registry charges;
- the stages of the work and the foreseeable timescales.
If the service you need is not in the schedule, you can request a fee estimate. We define the scope of the work with you and send the estimate in writing. For engagements, projects and retainers, we submit a formal proposal setting out the scope, assumptions, team and terms.
Throughout the work, we give advance notice of any change that may affect the final amount.
